Incident Description
1973: Two divers were stranded fortunately in an airbell when they found that the downstream line at base had been broken cutting them off from return. Fortunately a stand-by diver at the entrance realizing what had happened was able to lay a new line up to them.
Lessons Learned
Always secure the line at base and use advanced line management techniques.
