CDG Newsletter Issue 236 – July 2025

|CDG Newsletter Issue 236 – July 2025

Editorial

As always, thank you to all the contributors for submitting dive logs and articles to this Newsletter. This Newsletter is perhaps a reflection of the recent dry spring the UK has enjoyed, with many exploration and tourism dives described. It could be called a bumper edition. It is also a reflection of the health of the Group, with many of these dives being reported to a high standard by trainees and recently qualified members. The Group's AGM held in the Forest of Dean was, disappointingly, not quorate, yet the size of the membership has never been as high. It should be obvious without labouring the point that the reason the Group is successful is due to work behind the scenes by many volunteers. Those volunteers need the support of the membership to ensure governance is acceptable and appropriate. Next year, in the north, we shall celebrate 80 years of the Cave Diving Group. Make a date in your diary and come along.

Please continue to submit diving logs, articles, top tips, book reviews and changes to diving status via newslettereditor@cavedivinggroup.org.uk or Section secretaries. The deadline for the October 2025 Newsletter is 1 September 2025.

Safe diving.
