CDG Newsletter Issue 221 – October 2021

|CDG Newsletter Issue 221 – October 2021

Editorial

This newsletter begins with a a tribute to Rob Dalby, a former Northern Section Secretary who tragically drowned whilst diving off the Isles of Scilly. In the UK Rob undertook a number of exploratory projects notably under Malham Cove and Chapel-le-Dale alongside other divers including James "Jamie" Alderson who has written the tribute that can be found on page 1. However, many more will know Rob for his support of the Pozu Azul explorations in Spain.

The Group's 75th AGM took place recently and to those who attended, thank you for voting me in once more to produce at least another couple of Newsletters ahead of the next AGM. Thanks are due to the Welsh Section for arranging this event and in particular for the fantastic raffle prizes they had on offer. A brief summary of the AGM can be found towards the back of this Newsletter with the full minutes available from Section Secs. The responsibility for the next AGM falls to the Northern Section and I hope to provide details of this in the next Newsletter which should be with
you very early in 2022.

Finally, please continue to send me your diving logs, articles, top tips and changes to both QD status or Section Secretaries. The deadline for the January 2022 Newsletter is 1 December. Safe diving.
