Editorial

Whilst currently confined to the house courtesy of the widespread snow from the “Beast from the East” and Storm Emma, it is easy to reflect on the generally wet winter and poor diving conditions that so often blight UK diving activity preceding the April Newsletter. Hopefully as winter turns to spring, more exploratory work and training dives will be undertaken and the AGM in Yorkshire on 28 April should (or perhaps could?) offer plenty of opportunities for cave diving and potholing. For those wishing to attend the AGM dinner please return your responses (and money) to Matt Jenkinson in the Northern Section as soon as possible.

The 2018 CDG Training Camp in June sponsored by the Welsh Section offers an excellent opportunity for a further get together of divers from across the Group, and for those looking to join. Gareth Davies should be contacted to register for the event which will provide excellent training and social opportunities and the chance to dive some of the local sites. Finally, thank you to all those who have contributed to this Newsletter, the deadline for contributions of dive reports, articles, changes in diver status and diary events to the next Newsletter is 1 June.
