Dizziness from Cold

Incident Date

Incident Description

The diver had a mild head cold but elected to dive Jingle Pot. During the dive the symptoms of the head cold became more severe. Just beyond the Blottapress the sensations of dizziness became disorientating and the dive was turned. The exit was particularly difficult as the diver lost all sense of balance and orientation. A desperate delay of 15 minutes hanging around in the air bell was required before the diver could face diving back out the entrance bedding.

Lessons Learned
